Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Bakery Operations Supervisor to lead daily bakery activities and ensure high-quality product output. You will supervise associates, assist with scheduling, merchandising, and training while maintaining strong customer service standards.

The role emphasizes adherence to company recipes, inventory control, and efficient production workflows to meet demand and minimize costs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service related field desirable.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer issues promptly in a polite and professional manner.
Directs bakery operations and supports merchandising, ad execution, and associate engagement.
Supervises associates in the department in partnership with or in the absence of the department manager.
Oversees department inventories by tracking weekly sales reports, product orders and supplies.
Attempts to ensure production logs and recipes are followed and quality remains high.
