Weis Markets is seeking a bakery leader to supervise daily bakery operations and guide associates in customer service and product decoration. You will work alongside the Bakery Manager to ensure quality, freshness, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced retail bakery.

The role emphasizes decorating, merchandise planning, and adherence to company recipes while maintaining logs, scheduling, and staff training. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork and community growth within Weis Markets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates or bachelor’s in business/food service is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations with associates and customers.
• Supervises department operations in cooperation with the department manager.
• Merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service duties.
• Assist in scheduling bakery associates and training; delegate tasks to maximize department profits.
• Maintain department logs, inventories, and product freshness.
• Ensure recipes are followed and products are kept in saleable condition.
• Assist with loading/unloading merchandise and restocking as needed.
• Provide a safe work environment with required PPE and equipment.
