Job summary

Weis Markets in Pennsylvania seeks a Bakery Department Supervisor to lead day-to-day bakery operations, decorate specialty cakes, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will schedule staff, manage inventory, monitor quality, and collaborate with store management to meet financial goals. Prior decorating experience and minimum 2 years in retail/food service management are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations and provides polite, professional service.
• Takes customer orders and decorates cakes and bakery products.
• Assists Bakery Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and training.
• Oversees inventory, scheduling, and LMS usage for associates.
• Develops merchandising plans and monitors pricing; ensures production logs are followed.
• Checks deliveries, maintains product quality and proper rotation; breaks down deliveries.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs; maintains freshness of products.
