Weis Markets is seeking a Bakery Department Manager to lead daily bakery operations in our store. You will supervise associates, maintain inventory, ensure quality and freshness, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role includes decorating cakes, training staff, and coordinating with store management to optimize growth and profitability. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, prior bakery or retail management experience, and a commitment to teamwork and community growth.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s in business or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Promotes customer relations and polite, professional service.
• Takes orders and creates decorated bakery products.
• Decorates cakes and related products with creams, frostings and fillings.
• Assists Bakery Manager in day-to-day operations and training.
• Oversees inventories and weekly sales reports for period-end inventory.
• Assists with scheduling and leverages LMS for associates.
• Implements merchandising plans and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Checks deliveries and invoices; maintains product rotation and freshness.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs; ensures recipe compliance.
• Keeps bakery stocked and customer-focused; handles questions and concerns.
• Ensures saleable product with proper signage and warning labels.
• May assist in production of breads and pastries; adheres to production logs.
• Ensures smooth workflow and PPE usage; may assist other departments.
