Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to support the Bakery Manager in leading daily operations, merchandising, and staff supervision. You will help ensure product quality, set up displays, and maintain high levels of customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience in retail grocery, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; ability to give and take direction in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area and equipment.
• Be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 40 lbs.; operate deli equipment and weights/measure tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure the execution of all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines/regulations by the team.
