Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking an Operator 2, Bakery- Starter- 3rd Shift to join our team. You will be accountable for preparing, monitoring, and maintaining starter production processes to ensure product consistency and food safety compliance.

This role requires basic recipe understanding, data recording in SAP, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Shift is 10 PM to 6:30 AM with weekend availability, offering a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience as an Operator or in a related manufacturing role.
• Ability to understand and follow recipes, process controls, and production specifications.
• Basic knowledge of starter mixing processes and mixing equipment operation.
• Ability to comprehend scale readings, temperature measurements, and production data.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to operate computers, production screens, and SAP reporting systems while accurately documenting production information.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain starter formulations according to established recipes, specifications, and production schedules.
• Monitor fermentation, mixing, and temperature control processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Perform Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) procedures and maintain starter production equipment in sanitary condition.
• Record production, mixing, and quality data accurately within SAP and required reporting systems.
• Verify ingredient weights, scale accuracy, and starter usage requirements to support operational excellence.
• Maintain compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
• Support operational excellence initiatives through problem-solving, defect identification, and continuous improvement activities.
