MDS Staffing is assisting an established food manufacturer in Rocky Mount, NC to hire Production Supervisors across 1st-3rd shifts for its bakery operation. You’ll lead 15–25 employees, directing daily production, coaching staff, and ensuring safety and quality while meeting goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership within an experienced supervisory team, with opportunities for professional growth and shift flexibility. Base salary ranges from $86,000 to $93,000 plus a 5% bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Production supervisory experience in food manufacturing; bakery or frozen food experience is especially relevant.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage performance, and build accountability.
• Working knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work the assigned shift and support production scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities, staffing, and shift assignments.
• Coach, train, and develop employees while setting clear expectations.
• Maintain food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor production performance, address downtime, and improve efficiency.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Communicate priorities and ensure effective shift handoffs.
