Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe is seeking a Bakery Production Team Member in Boston to craft pastries, breads, and desserts from scratch. You will identify ingredients, scale recipes, and prepare doughs for pastry, bread, or viennoiserie lines within a fast-paced, team-driven bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-volume bakery production, banquet production kitchen, restaurant kitchen, or similar environment.
• Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
• Passion for baking and cooking with a keen eye for freshness, quality, and cleanliness.
• An appetite for learning new skills and techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Pride in producing high-quality products.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including at least one weekend shift each weekend.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Identify and select ingredients to follow recipes.
• Scale recipes to match production needs.
• Sheet, shape, and prepare doughs in a modern manufacturing environment.
• Build composed desserts.
• Prepare housemade jams, fillings, mousses, and other pastry components.
• Top, finish, and decorate desserts.
• Adhere to cleanliness and sanitation standards, including FDA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
