Job summary

Adams Hometown Markets is seeking a Bakery Clerk to maintain freshness and presentation of baked goods while assisting customers and rotating stock. You will rotate items using FIFO, inspect shipments for quality, and keep displays clean and inviting.

Responsibilities include pricing accuracy, product knowledge for fruit and produce when needed, and communicating inventory issues to leadership. Must be 18+, with flexible weekends and mornings.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings.
• Zero to one year produce/grocery experience preferred; bakery experience also valued.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and display bakery items in an appealing way per store plan.
• Rotate products using First In, First Out method to prevent waste.
• Inspect shipments for quality and freshness.
• Remove damaged or expired items to maintain quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of display bins and shelves.
• Assist customers in locating items and provide product information.
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling on all items.
• Communicate inventory and sales issues to leadership as needed.
