Job summary

Adams-Hometown-Markets is seeking a Bakery Clerk to maintain the freshness and presentation of baked goods while assisting customers. You will rotate products, monitor inventory, and help keep the area clean and safe.

Flexibility is required for weekends and early mornings; previous bakery experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting the bakery team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• Prior retail or bakery experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and display bakery items attractively.
• Rotate items using FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Inspect shipments for quality and freshness.
• Remove damaged items to maintain quality.
• Keep bakery area clean and sanitized.
• Assist customers with selections and provide product information.
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of items.
• Communicate inventory levels and issues to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
