Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in preparing, baking, packaging, and presenting all baked goods while delivering a high level of customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will work with the Bakery Manager to price, merchandise, rotate stock, receive shipments, and keep the bakery area clean, safe, and sanitary, with the ability to stand for long periods. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment; weigh and label products.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle physical duties as described.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure Bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of the Bakery area.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves, floors, and surfaces; remove hazards.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment and contribute to the team.
