Job summary

The Campbell's Company in Ashland is seeking a Bakery Processing Operator for the 3rd shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10:50 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). Base rate is $21.40 per hour with a $0.50 shift differential. Starting times may vary with production schedules and overtime may be required.

You will operate processing and baking equipment, monitor product quality, prepare ingredients, and make adjustments to meet QA standards while maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand batch sheets, recipes, production information, and operating procedures.
• Ability to accurately weigh ingredients and record production information.
• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and follow established food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Ability to work the 3rd-shift schedule and mandatory overtime when required.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting and handling up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate processing and baking equipment to produce products according to QA guidelines.
• Properly mix ingredients and monitor temperature and moisture levels, adjusting as needed.
• Monitor products and remove unacceptable items.
• Start, operate, change over, and shut down processing and bakery equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance and report defective equipment.
• Read batch sheets and recipes, weighing raw materials accurately.
• Monitor temperatures, mix times, and weights of products; adjust as necessary.
• Monitor production for foreign material and escalate quality concerns.
• Follow sanitation procedures during cleanups and changeovers.
• Track and dispose of production waste appropriately.
• Move raw ingredients using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain raw-material levels and communicate needs to the team.
• Follow safety, 5S, and PPE requirements; keep areas clean.
• Perform other duties to support production needs.
