Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Bakery Operations Manager for the Ann Arbor store to lead and grow a high-performing team while delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will own staffing, training, and daily execution, ensuring quality, speed, and safety, and you’ll drive sales and operational results in a fast-paced, late-night environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or leadership experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or another fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Availability to work a schedule that reflects bakery needs, including 2–3 mid-to-late shifts (Thu–Sun).
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style and willingness to jump in where needed.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain strong teams.
• Hospitality mindset and commitment to guest experience.
• Strong business acumen, able to set priorities and drive action.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with restaurant/retail technology and business systems.
• Ability to obtain required food safety certifications.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop a diverse Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Delivery Drivers.
• Lead service components including food quality, guest service, friendliness, and store cleanliness.
• Establish a culture of excellence prioritizing cookie quality, guest service, and sales performance.
• Manage and audit inventory, ordering, and bakery controls.
• Create and execute local marketing drops and in-store recognition programs.
