Job summary

Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN is seeking friendly team members to bake pies and other goods in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will follow established recipes, operate mixers, and help on a rotating evening schedule.

Starting pay is $14 per hour with benefits including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan with match, and on-the-job training. Previous bakery experience is a plus, and you must be 18 or older to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery experience a plus
• Able to communicate, read and comprehend simple instructions
• Detail oriented
• Read and understand recipes
• Lift and/or move 10 to 30 pounds
• SafeServ certification – can provide training if you don’t have it

Responsibilities

• Bake pies and other baked goods
• Use electric mixers and other equipment
• Use established recipes each time to measure and mix ingredients
• Regulate oven temperatures
• Check baked goods for quality
• Check production schedule to determine what and how much to bake
• Replenish ingredients with product from storage
• Clean shelves, bins, tables and coolers
