Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will help maintain product quality, merchandising, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 18 years old with two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience, plus flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude to interact with customers.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours, lift up to 40 lbs, and navigate 7–64 inch tray transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and monitor product quality.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Enforce safety, health, and sanitation guidelines, and ensure compliance.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
