Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Department with a focus on quality, safety, and customer service. You will manage daily baking, production, inventory, and displays while guiding a team to meet budget and sales goals.

You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff, coordinate with store leadership, and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards. This fast-paced role offers growth within a thriving fresh-food retailer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with at least 2 years of retail grocery experience.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and positive attitude toward customers and team members.
• Ability to give and receive direction in a team environment.
• Able to handle phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers and pallet jacks as needed.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as required.
• Must comply with safety, health and food handling regulations and hold a Food Handlers permit.
• Working knowledge of margin reports, weekly sales numbers and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery production, output, and display in accordance with Sprouts standards.
• Supervise product quality, monitor inventory, and manage bakery budget.
• Evaluate operations and implement improved procedures.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and compliance with Weights & Measures.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and storage; rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit; lead a high-performing team.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development conversations; participate in bi-annual reviews.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on staffing, scheduling, and promotions.
