Xpand Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain bakery equipment in a fast-paced environment in New York.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency as you load ingredients, adjust settings, inspect products, and record production data while following food safety and PPE protocols. Evening/weekend shifts may be required. The position requires good teamwork and the ability to stand for long periods while handling up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food production or bakery manufacturing is an advantage.
• Ability to operate industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor bread manufacturing machinery (mixers, dividers, molders, proofers, ovens, slicers, and packaging equipment).
• Measure and load ingredients according to production formulas and recipes.
• Adjust machine settings to control mixing time, temperature, speed, and baking conditions.
• Inspect dough and finished bread products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine equipment checks.
• Report major malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and production areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Record production data, downtime, and quality control checks.
• Follow all workplace safety and hygiene policies.
