Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a diligent Machine Operator to run bakery equipment from mixing to oven baking and packaging. You will ensure continuous product flow, adjust settings, and collaborate with maintenance and supervision to uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading equipment readouts, performing basic preventative tasks, and adhering to GMPs. A flexible schedule, teamwork, and the ability to learn diverse bakery processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Flexible work schedule including start times and weekend work.
• Good verbal, written, and mathematical skills.
• Willing to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the surrounding team.
• Patience is necessary to maintain and facilitate a series of continuous events.
• Must be able to problem solve, learn on the fly, process, and technical learning.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor the continuous bakery product flow through conveyor systems.
• Operate PLC panels to control product flow.
• Document weight, product yield, downtime and other metrics.
• Notify the Lead or Supervisor of equipment problems immediately.
• Follow GMPs, food safety policies and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
