Job summary

Levain Bakery is seeking a General Manager in our Austin location to lead daily bakery operations, drive profitability, and ensure outstanding customer experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and proven ability to manage a diverse team, with a focus on quality and community engagement. Integrity and empathy are core to our approach, along with a dedication to Levain’s standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or relevant field of study preferred.
• Minimum 4-5 years of food service, QSR, or retail experience, with 2-3 years of management experience.
• Adept knowledge of Toast POS system.
• Open availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Read and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bakery staff, including shift leads, bakers, retail team, trainers, and porters, to meet standards.
• Model DEI principles and foster inclusive store culture.
• Resolve conflicts and coach team members for development.
• Monitor performance and provide regular development opportunities.
• Manage budget, P&L, cost control, and weekly business analysis.
• Ensure quality standards for all products and adherence to protocols.
• Oversee in-store and third-party delivery orders accurately and safely.
• Maintain accurate cash reconciliations, time sheets, and inventory.
