Job summary

Butter Pecan Bakeshop seeks a Food Production Lead to provide hands-on, daily floor leadership in a Vallejo production bakery. You will guide the production team, ensure adherence to quality standards, sanitation, allergen controls, and accurate recordkeeping while escalating issues when outside of authority.

You will coordinate with the Production Manager, monitor workflow, and help identify corrective actions and process improvements to strengthen food safety systems.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of food safety, sanitation, allergens, quality checks, and GMPs
• Experience leading workflow and coordinating a team; supervisory experience helpful
• ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day workflow and assign tasks to maintain pace and quality
• Monitor shifts for delays, bottlenecks, and material gaps; coach and correct as needed
• Oversee non-dough tasks (portioning, packaging, labeling, sanitation, order prep)
• Perform in-process and finished-product checks against specifications; ensure accuracy of orders
