Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager in California to oversee bakery operations, production, and displays. You will lead a team, drive sales and profit, and maintain high standards of food safety and customer service.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery, flexible scheduling, and strong leadership. You will partner with the Store Manager on hiring, coaching, and performance management while ensuring safety and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 2 years of retail grocery experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude toward team and customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
• Proficient with weighing, labeling, and operating bakery equipment.
• Stand for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.
• Knowledge of margin reports, weekly sales, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise product quality, monitor inventory, and manage budget.
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Lead a team through coaching and development discussions.
• Recruit, hire, and promote in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Ensure safety and proper food handling practices.
• Create scheduling to maximize productivity.
• Communicate standards and policy changes to team members.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.
