Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the bakery department, oversee daily baking operations, and ensure product quality and safety. You will manage schedules, supervise staff, and coordinate with store leadership to maximize sales and profitability.

If you have 2+ years in retail grocery, a customer‑service mindset, and strong communication, you could help create a welcoming bakery experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with 2+ years of retail grocery experience.
• Dependable with flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward teammates and customers.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Keep department clean and sanitize work areas.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks; weigh and label products accurately.
• Stand 8 hours; lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Adhere to safety/health/Weighs & Measures; obtain Food Handler permit.
• Knowledge of margin and sales reports and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily baking, production, and bakery displays.
• Supervise quality, monitor consistency, track inventory, manage budget.
• Evaluate operations to identify strengths/weaknesses and develop improvements.
• Maintain safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Handle ordering, receiving, unloading and storage.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Manage inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and labor per Sprouts standards.
• Plan and order per standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Coach and evaluate team; conduct reviews and merit increase recommendations.
• Attend in-store meetings regularly.
• Recruit, hire, promote/transfer decisions with Store Manager.
• Address team concerns with independent judgement.
• Take corrective actions; collaborate with HR on performance management.
• Create and adjust schedules to ensure productivity.
• Communicate standards and policies to team.
• Lead team to deliver quality products and service.
• Serve as Key Carrier / Manager on Duty as needed.
