Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in California is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the bakery department, oversee daily baking, production, and display of bakery products, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will supervise staff, manage inventory and budgets, schedule staffing, coach team members, and collaborate with store management on hiring and promotions to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards team members and customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise and monitor product quality, inventory, and the bakery budget.
• Evaluate operations for improvements and implement new practices.
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Handle ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage; rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit; lead and coach team members; participate in meetings.
