Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in California to lead Bakery Clerks under the Bakery Manager and to supervise daily operations. You will focus on customer service, product quality, and efficient merchandising in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include inventory control, rotating stock, and enforcing safety and sanitation guidelines. Strong communication and flexibility are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with at least two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Dependable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallets and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand up to 3 hours continuously; lift up to 40 lbs with or without assistance.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation guidelines and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor quality of Bakery products.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment and contribute to a team atmosphere.
