Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in our California division. You will lead Bakery Clerks, assist the Bakery Manager, and help supervise daily department operations to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery and supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, rotate stock, and maintain sanitation standards. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service focus.
• Good communication and teamwork ability; able to take and give directions.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Housekeeping and sanitization of work area.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and Bakery team supervision.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damage and ensure product quality.
• Provide excellent customer service and oversee bakery operations.
• Operate deli equipment and unload/store store deliveries.
• Ensure safety, health, and sanitation guidelines are followed.
