Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise team members across departments. You will mentor staff and implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting company standards.

You will oversee staffing, hiring, and development, ensuring a positive company image with friendly, efficient service and careful training. You will manage numerous tasks and promote a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; customer service and product flow helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are met.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Ensures staffing needs through staffing, selection, and hiring.
• Promotes career development and succession planning for the team.
