This role emphasizes staffing, development, performance management, safety, and training, with a strong focus on delivering a friendly Meijer experience during peak hours.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli are beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information for decisions.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members to maintain a positive company image.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by developing career paths and identifying development needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations regarding discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to meet customer service and sales goals while upholding Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is thoroughly trained and has completed required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store interacting with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is delivered.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
