Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a dedicated store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and ensure the store reflects Meijer standards during peak hours.

You'll manage staffing, training and development, monitor performance, and contribute to sales, shrink prevention and safety programs. This role emphasizes teamwork and applying the Meijer Friendly Initiative in every customer

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli).
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze basic financials.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and lead safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image with courteous service to customers and team members.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career development for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; advise on promotions/discharges.
