Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan staffing, hire talent, and mentor team members across departments. You will drive customer service excellence, sustain sales growth, and ensure the store operates with Meijer standards.

You will oversee development, succession planning, and timely performance actions while maintaining strong in-store presence during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience overseeing staffing and development is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for the team.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed sales goals and uphold Meijer standards.
• Ensures the team is trained and meets all required training.
