Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership role to plan, direct and supervise daily operations across multiple departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and ensure sales goals and company standards are met.

The position emphasizes staffing, coaching, and optimizing store performance while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve customer service and sales.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and ensure fast, efficient service.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours and company standards.
• Spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is delivered.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure staffing needs are met.
