Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and drive customer service and store sales. This role emphasizes staffing, development, and adherence to company standards within the store environment.

The position requires 2-3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data. Rotational assignments across departments are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and root-cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development for advancement.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; discharge decisions as needed.
• Manage P&L, profitability and shrink; maintain store standards.
• Ensure thorough training and safety across all roles.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
