Job summary

SpartanNash, located in Traverse City, MI, is seeking a part-time Deli/Bakery Associate to prepare, package, label and merchandise bakery and deli items for daily sale. You will stock backrooms, rotate products, and work with teammates to support store growth and guest experience.

The role requires good reading and math skills, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or GED. Prior retail experience is preferred, and safety and cleanliness guidelines must be followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery/Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery/Deli Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery/Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Work with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Notify the Bakery/ Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic arithmetic operations and communicate tasks and recipes to teammates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines and Food Safety expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
