Job summary

SpartanNash, a leading food solutions company based in Grand Rapids, is hiring for a part-time Bakery/Deli associate. The role focuses on preparing, packaging, labeling, and merchandising bakery and deli products, while ensuring safety and guest experience standards.

You will stock the backroom, coordinate with teams, and assist with ordering needs as required. Prior retail exposure is helpful, with a GED and basic math skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Detail oriented and precise in handling products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products to Production Planner.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per Flight/merchandising plan.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products, rotate and date as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve growth in SpartanNash stores.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager when products and supplies need ordering.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to guest experience guidelines.
• Assist other departments based on needs.
