Job summary

SpartanNash’s Dowagiac location is seeking a part-time Deli/Bakery Associate to prep, fry, package, display and stock deli and bakery products. You will work to meet store goals and follow safety and guest-experience guidelines in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires basic math, ability to read and interpret documents, and attention to detail. Prior retail experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is suggested for applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per Flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products; rotate and label cases/buckets.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to others.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• Assist other departments as needed.
