Job summary

SpartanNash in Harrison, MI is hiring a part-time Bakery/Deli Associate to prepare, package, label, and merchandise bakery and deli products. You will stock backrooms, coordinate with other departments, and assist with ordering and safety protocols to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (GED) and at least 1 year of retail experience, with basic math and strong attention to detail. This is a part-time, on-site position at a family-fare location.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in labeling and merchandising.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products to Production Planner.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products – rotate and date stock.
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager when products and supplies need ordering.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and cleaning expectations.
• Maintain guest experience guidelines and company food safety standards.
• May assist in other departments based on business needs.
