Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Deli/Bakery Associate to prepare, package, and merchandise bakery and deli items. You will stock backrooms, coordinate with production, and ensure product quality and labeling accuracy.

The role emphasizes teamwork, basic math, and adherence to safety standards, PPE, and guest experience guidelines. Prior retail experience is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products for production planning.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products, rotating and dating cases.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager if products and supplies need ordering.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines; ensure guest experience standards.
• Support other departments as needed based on business needs.
