Job summary

ShopRite of South Plainfield in New Jersey is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking, and merchandise rotation. You will help deliver a great customer experience and keep the department neat and inviting.

Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, assisting customers, following safety and QA standards, and working with teammates to maintain accurate signage and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing and understanding English.
• Ability to perform basic math and count accurately.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift 25–50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe Bakery area.
• Price, stock, rotate and display bakery merchandise.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service.
• Follow safety, QA and cleanliness standards in daily tasks.
• Ensure accurate signage and product rotation.
• Assist in other departments as needed and work overtime if required.
