Job summary

ShopRite of Bridgeton is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Bakery Department, ensuring a neat and visually appealing area while performing duties safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, team collaboration, and adherence to safety, QA, and company policies.

Qualified candidates will work a variety of shifts, with overtime as needed and a focus on maintaining product quality

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Commitment to safety, sanitation and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Rotate and stock bakery products; ensure accurate pricing and signage.
• Assist in other departments when required and work overtime as needed.
• Follow QA hand-washing standards and use gloves when handling food.
