Job summary

ShopRite of Brooklawn in Browns, NJ is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist the Bakery Manager with pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandise, and to deliver a great customer experience to shoppers.

You will keep the department clean and visually appealing, greet customers, ensure product freshness, rotate stock, and perform duties safely in accordance with QA standards and company policies. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Able to perform basic math and handle money transactions.
• Stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• 18+ to operate certain equipment; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and proper labeling.
• Prepare trays and assist in bakery operations as needed.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise up to 50 lbs; lift 25 lbs regularly.
• Follow QA, safety standards and company policies; work overtime as needed.
