Job summary

ShopRite of Newton in Newton, NJ is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandise to maintain a neat, clean and appealing department. You will deliver friendly service and ensure compliance with QA standards.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the habit of working in varying temperatures. Training and benefits are provided under the CBA terms.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English and understand basic math.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work all assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized bakery area.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, rotate and display merchandise in the Bakery Department.
• Follow safety, sanitation and QA standards and company policy.
