ShopRite of Manchester in Lakehurst, NJ is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise, maintaining a neat, clean, and visually appealing department, and performing tasks per policy.

This role requires strong English reading/writing skills, basic math, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and provide friendly customer service. You’ll follow safety, QA standards, and work schedules, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Adhere to QA standards and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly customer service and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe bakery area.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate and stock products; ensure accurate signage.
• Assist in pricing and merchandising per policies.
• Follow health, safety, and QA guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
• Work overtime as needed and support other departments.
