Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package baked goods and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced store, while maintaining clean, organized bakery areas and accurate product presentation.

The role supports stocking, pricing, and merchandising with adherence to safety standards and food handling regulations, contributing to a high-quality bakery department experience for shoppers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, enjoy interacting with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related bakery equipment.
• Stand for long periods and lift moderate weights according to safety guidelines.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements; maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist the Bakery Manager with prep, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure proper presentation of bakery items; maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize surfaces.
• Stock, rotate, and ensure pricing accuracy; discard spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for quality and temperature.
