Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake and package baked goods while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting the Bakery Manager with prep, pricing, and merchandising, and maintaining a clean and sanitary bakery area.

You will be responsible for stocking, pricing accuracy, and logging shipments, while engaging with customers and supporting a cooperative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years bakery experience preferred or equivalent
• Be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and package all baked goods; assist Bakery Manager with prep, pricing, and merchandising
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are prepared, packaged, presented and kept clean
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and clean as needed; rotate inventory and discard spoiled items
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
• Stand by their role in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
