Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, package and present bakery items with a focus on great customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You’ll assist with pricing, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe bakery area while handling shipments and stocking products. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, plus the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand long hours.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to follow directions within a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders; follow safety and sanitation rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and package all baked goods in the bakery department.
• Assist the Bakery Manager with pricing, merchandising and upkeep of displays.
• Provide high-level customer service and keep the bakery area clean and well organized.
• Maintain clean equipment and floors; ensure proper storage and rotation of products.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Stand for long periods and handle weighty items as needed.
