Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support bakery operations and deliver excellent customer service. You will help prep, bake, package, and merchandise baked goods while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and accept special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department; operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, presented, and area kept clean.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize surfaces.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
