Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years Bakery experience or combination of education and experience.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks as needed; weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours at a time, up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements; Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and maintain cleanliness of the Bakery department.
• Keep bakery area clean and sanitary; ensure proper shelving and product presentation.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment; engage with customers and team.
