Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, package, and present fresh baked goods in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will assist the Bakery Manager with day-to-day tasks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure quality and accuracy of pricing and freshness.

Eligible candidates are at least 18 with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years bakery experience; friendly, reliable, and able to stand for long periods while handling knives and scales safely.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, while keeping the bakery area clean.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors; prevent spills.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate items and discard spoiled products.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
