Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the bakery department in baking, packaging, and merchandising, while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will maintain cleanliness, assist with pricing, handle orders, and ensure product freshness. Candidates should be 18+, with bakery experience or equivalent, and be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years bakery experience or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Performs housekeeping and sanitation duties in the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related bakery equipment.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and lift items as required.
• Adheres to safety, health, and regulatory requirements and holds a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
