Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, and package all baked goods while delivering excellent customer service. You will support the Bakery Manager, maintain clean work areas, and help with pricing and merchandising in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of bakery experience. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is needed; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, total 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs; long periods; 36 feet distance.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, with a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, presented, and clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors; sweep.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate items and discard outdated products.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be ready to contribute.
