Job summary

ShopRite of Norwich is seeking a Bakery Associate to support daily bakery operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and stocking of pastry and bread items. Maintain a clean, organized department and provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow recipes, ensure product quality, rotate stock, and assist in other departments as needed while adhering to safety policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform light to moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Strong customer-service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations, baking, mixing dough, icing, packaging and stocking pastries and bread.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and visually appealing department.
• Follow recipes and production procedures to ensure quality and safety.
• Rotate product to maintain freshness and proper shelf life.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers and assist other departments as needed.
